Fallout already renewed for season 3 at Prime Video before season 2 airs

Good news for all of you gamers: the future of Fallout is bright (if post-apocalyptic) at Amazon's Prime Video

Prime Video believes its Fallout TV series has some legs, as the Amazon studio has greenlit a season 3 for the show well before season 2 has even dropped.

Deadline broke the news, alongside details about season 2 of the show. Season 2 will begin streaming this December, naturally piggybacking off the events of season 1's finale. It makes sense that Amazon has so much confidence in their Fallout show, as Deadline noted that season 1 was one of Prime Video's "top three most-watched titles ever."

Fallout is executive produced by Bethesda Game Studios, who made the original video game. The show tells the story of a world two hundred years after a nuclear apocalypse, where the privileged live in comfortable fallout shelters while the not-so-lucky scrap out an existence in the barren wasteland outside.

The show brings together talent like Ella Purnell from Yellowjackets, Twin Peaks's Kyle MacLachlan, and Walton Goggins, who has played just about every weird guy you've seen on television (Justified, The Righteous Gemstones, The White Lotus). Considering how much the three of them have been killing it recently, let's hope the Fallout train doesn't stop any time soon.
