The Legend of Vox Machina season 4 fulfilled a lifellong dream for Critical Role's Taliesin Jaffe

Jaffe has done a lot of things over his Critical Role career - but until this season of The Legend of Vox Machina, he's never been a very specific part of a fantasy heist

Mild spoilers for The Legend of Vox Machina season 4 follow.

The Legend of Vox Machina season 4 has changed the game completely for the cast of Critical Role. We saw major characters die, major schemes revealed, and major threats made even more major by the twelfth episode. But not everything that happened to the cast of Critical Role's Campaign 1 was stressful - for Taliesin Jaffe, this season offered him the chance to do something the voice actor has wanted to do his entire life:

That is, make a heist speech.

Jaffe revealed as much in a recent conversation with AV Club. In case you haven't already seen the full season (mild spoiler warning here, folks), Jaffe's character Percy de Rolo gives a rundown of how Vox Machina is going to rob the Cobalt Soul in the aptly titled episode De Rolo's Eleven. Not only is it a great moment and gives the whole chapter an Ocean's Eleven feel, but for Jaffe, it's the answer to a prayer he's been making for quite some time.

"I have wanted to give a heist speech for my entire life," the voice actor told the outlet, "I’m not kidding. I’m a big fan of the genre and being able to be the person who lays the entire thing down, it’s just… there’s a real tempo to ’em and they’re really fun."

Well, we're glad that that dream was realized, Taliesin, as much as we are a little bit curious as to how specific your other lifelong dreams are. Did you ever want to spoof Batman in a fantasy setting? Operate a body as a sentient mask? I mean, you certainly picked the right career for it, but that does make us wonder.

With two animated series on Prime Video, Campaign 4 in full swing, and so much more Exandrian lore to come, Critical Role is showing no signs of slowing down. That's why the adventuring party at Popverse are here to bring you everything we can from those nerdy-ass voice actors & Bo., including:

...and much, much more. Roll initiative, player. Magic awaits.
