Despite what Michael Sheen has said, David Tennant denies making him the bad cop on the set of Good Omens
The pair make a "good team" according to David Tennant, though he disagrees with how Michael Sheen portrays their relationship.

Being co-stars on a show like Good Omens is a serious balancing act. Not only do you need to make sure you have the right chemistry on-screen, but it also helps to work together well off-screen as well. For David Tennant and Michael Sheen, they seemed to click from the first read-through – though the two stars seem to disagree about what exactly their off-screen relationship is.
During his panel at MCM Comic Con 2025, David Tennant was presented with the fact that Michael Sheen had (playfully) accused him of always being the good guy on set and forcing him to be the bad guy when they had to address a problem on set – an obvious twist on their on-screen dynamic.
“So, it sounds like I’m being thrown under the bus!” David Tennant says to the packed audience in the hall. “I don’t know. I think we complement each other very well. I think we work as a team. That’s what it is.”
It is looking more and more likely that we won’t get to see David Tennant and Michael Sheen in Good Omens season three now – at least, not in the way the show’s creators originally intended. In the wake of the allegations of sexual assault against writer Neil Gaiman, Good Omens has been put on hold and changed from a full season to a single 90-minute finale, though there still isn’t a release date for it. Still, it is good to know that at least the ongoing bromance between David Tennant and Michael Sheen came from Good Omens – even if they can’t agree on who is the good cop and who is the bad cop.
