Seattle's Emerald City Comic Con 2026 was already a place wrapped in mystery and excitement, but when it was announced that Gravity Falls's Alex Hirsch and Kristen Schaal were going to be there, we knew we had to investigate for ourselves. What we uncovered wasn't a reality-warping conspiracy deity, though (at least, we don't think?).

No, it was an hour of some of the most fun animation discussion from two icons of the medium. Gravity Falls creator (and Grunkle Stan voice) and Mabel Pines herself (Schaal) were a dream panel for anyone interested in the paranormal, great storytelling, and so much more - and we caught the whole thing on tape.

Uh, in a good way. Not the blurry, Bigfoot way.
