The present and future is certainly bright for Hazbin Hotel and Hellaverse fans more broadly. Hot off the success of a Broadway performance featuring members of the Prime Video adult animated show cast, Hazbin Hotel creator Vivienne Medrano has offered fans a cryptic look at the villain set to take center stage in the forthcoming season 3 of Hazbin Hotel.

As ComicBook.com reports, Medrano shared some details about the character who will act as season 3's villain. Medrano said, "I’m also excited for people to see a character we’ve built up — I won’t say who, just to be extra-safe, but I think people will know by the end of this season who I’m talking about. A character who’s been built up as sort of a friendly face, or an anti-hero, a character who is on the right side for the first two seasons, getting to step into a villain role, and getting to see the nuance and the real motivation behind a very trickstery, devious character who has his own agenda that’s much more sinister in season 3. Getting to see that arc play out, and getting to see that dynamic, I’m personally very excited for that aspect of the story.”

The creative team behind Hazbin Hotel has already been hard at work on the show's third season. Previously, Medrano shared that she envisioned the show to be composed of 5 seasons. Beyond this "friendly face" anti-hero character staring us all in the face in season 2, Medrano has also heralded the arrival of the biggest and baddest villain set to arrive sometime in a future season.

Chances are you've already guessed who season 3's villain is - so it's time to get your flowcharts going, because there is a lot on the table for Hazbin Hotel's future.

Hazbin Hotel is streaming on Prime Video.
