It seems like you can't go to a pop culture convention today without seeing at least one Jujutsu Kaisen cosplayer. To be fair, it's pretty easy to spot a Gojo cosplayer, thanks to the white hair and black blindfold. And while Gojo can get around just fine, even with a blindfold over his eyes, thanks to his powers, I've always wondered how Gojo cosplayers manage to navigate a convention without walking into, well, everything. But these questions must be considered at a later date, because Jujutsu Kaisen's anime adaptation is returning for a third season on Crunchyroll.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 release date January 8, 2026 on Crunchyroll. The second season of the show came out in 2023, so it's safe to say that fans have been waiting a good long while for the next chapter in the story. Perhaps some of them even finished reading the manga within this time span.

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the manga series of the same title by Gege Akutami. The manga series wrapped up in September 2024. And there's a reason why there's so much anticipation for this next season of the show: according to Guinness World Records, Jujutsu Kaisen became the most "in-demand animated TV show in the world" in 2024, unseating Attack on Titan. It would later be unseated by Hazbin Hotel in 2025, but the fact that it topped the charts to begin with certainly says something.

Hold fast, friends, because the wait is nearly over.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 will be released on January 8, 2026 on Crunchyroll.
