Good news: you won't have to wait around on December 8, 2025 when the first episode of Midsomer Murders season 25 debuts on Acorn TV. There is no set release time for the season, meaning you'll be able to watch the season's premiere any time on December 8, 2025.

If you've been hoping to get some great puns in the episode titles for Midsomer Murders season 25, you're in luck. Episode 2 of the season is called Lawn of the Dead, and will revolve around a lawn bowling group. Given that one of the most beloved British zombie films of all time is Shaun of the Dead, we're left here wondering how long "Lawn of the Dead" has lived within the mind of whoever came up with the episode title. Have they been champing at the bit to write a story - any story - involving a murder in a lawn bowling club? We may never know. 

How many episodes are in Midsomer Murders season 25?

There will be four episodes within Midsomer Murders season 25. However, if that seems shorter than usual, it's because each episode will be feature-length. Yes, there used to be more episodes per season back in the days of 2007's season 10, but we're in different times now. Plus, with an entire episode titled 'Lawn of the Dead,' I would say the show has made up for its smaller season. 

Will Midsomer Murders season 25 have longer episodes?

It's not currently known if the episodes of Midsomer Murders season 25 will be longer than previous episodes, but, again, Acorn TV does indicate that each episode will be feature-length. For years, each episode of Midsomer Murders has had a runtime of 100 minutes, just over an hour and a half. We have no reason at this time to think that season 25 of the show would suddenly deviate from the show's form.

This due to a deal worked out between Midsommer Murders' owners and AMC Networks, the parent company of Acorn TV.
