Enter the Upside Down with the immersive Stranger Things Netflix House, or if that's too scary, try entering a Squid Game?

Heading to Dallas very soon is the Netflix House, which will put you and your friends on a real life adventure into the Creel House, or if you prefer, in a real life game of 'Red Light, Green Light'

Ever wanted to step into the world of Stranger Things without, you know, the actual risk of death? What about one of those Squid Games that everyone's so into? Very shortly, you'll be able to do just that, as Netflix is bringing all of the fun (and none of the danger) of some of their biggest shows into the real world via the immersive Netflix House experience.

Announced by Netflix themselves in a June 17 article, Netflix House is the name of a series of theme-park-esque attractions based out of some of the United States' largest malls. In late 2025, two Netflix houses will be open to the public - one in Dallas and one in Philadelphia - and will feature interactive exhibitions based on some of Netflix's most popular shows. In particular, fans of Squid Game and Stranger things can expect:

  • Stranger Things: Escape the Dark - an immersive missing persons mystery
  • Squid Game: Survive the Trials - an actual Squid Game arena featuring challenges that will put your loyalty to the test

...plus other, unspecified installations that bring to life Netflix hits like Wednesday and Bridgerton (I'm fascinated to know what that one is like).

"This is fandom coming to life," says Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer, Marian Lee, "Where you can actually step inside the worlds you’ve been watching and loving for years — whether going on an epic adventure with the Straw Hats, taking a journey into Hawkins, Indiana, or grabbing a cocktail inspired by your latest obsession. With fresh experiences dropping regularly, there's always a new reason to come back."

That said, it won't be at every location that fans will be able to step into the world of Hawkins, Indiana. In fact, it won't even be a place all that close to the actual Indiana. As of this announcement, Netflix's Stranger Things and Squid Game immersive experiences are only going to be available at their Dallas location, inside the Galleria Dallas shopping mall. However, with more Netflix Houses likely on the way (including a confirmed Las Vegas location), we'd bet that there will be more entrances to the Upside Down soon enough.

I mean, there's gotta be a location that celebrates the animated series, right?

Stranger Things season 5, volume one debuts November 26 on Netflix, followed by volume 2 on December 25, and the ultimate finale of the series on December 31.
