Which One Chicago cast eats the most like real Chicagoans: Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, or Chicago Med?

To be fair, Hanako Greensmith might just be a little bit biased as to which of NBC's Chicago shows has the most authentic off-screen diet. But it's not like she doesn't have her reasons, either

Every week, the cast of NBC's shared-universe Chicago series represent the Windy City and its great people on some of the most hotly-anticipated dramas on network TV. But here's a question we had - out of all of those cats members, which of them represent Chi-Town once the cameras are off? Particularly in the most important way: their diets? Well, we actually had a chance to ask some of the One Chicago cast, and we have an answer to that now...

Even if that answer might just be the teensiest bit biased.

Popverse got to sit down with some of One Chicago's staples - that is, Jocelyn Hudon, Jessy Schram, LaRoyce Hawkins, and Hanako Greensmith - to ask such important questions at C2E2 2026. Appropriately, much of the conversation revolved around the city home to Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and the midwest's premiere pop culture event, and when it came to which cast eats the most authentically, it was Greensmith that answered first.

"Chicago Fire," Greensmith confidently declared, "We had hot dogs yesterday? No ketchup in site."

Because we are Responsible Journalists over here at Popverse, we will point out that Greensmith might just be a little bit partial to the Fire Department-centric TV series; she's been playing the character of Violet Mikami on the show since 2020. However, she did have one voice of support from another series to back her up - LaRoyce Hawkins, who's not only Chicago PD's Kevin Atwater, but a native Chicagoan himself.

"You don't need it," Hawkins said in answer to her ketchup comment, "All you need is mustard, a little celery salt, throw some jalapeño in there."

Sounds like an official endorsement to me - hell, might as well be the key to the city.
