It’s never been a better time to return to Camp Half-Blood. Season 1 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+ ended with the reveal that practically every demi-god’s favorite older brother figure, Luke, has actually been working behind the scenes to bring Kronos back to life and wreak havoc on the Olympians. Talk about family drama! 

Here now at San Diego Comic-Con, the Percy Jackson panel announced that the Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 will debut on December 10 on Disney+. The panel also showed a teaser trailer for the season, where we got to see Luke stabbing a tree (not just any tree - Thalia’s tree) and wearing an excellent tracksuit, but more importantly, we got our first glimpse of Daniel Diemer as Percy’s lovable cyclops half-brother, Tyson. Trust me, Tyson looks great. We’re all gonna lose our minds this December. 

Season 2 of Percy Jackson on Disney+ will adapt the second book in the series, The Sea of Monsters. If you’ve read the book, you might remember it as the turning point in the original series when author Rick Riordan steered hard into the magical elements of Greek mythology. While The Lightning Thief toed the line between the real and the magical, The Sea of Monsters basically said, “screw it, here is a very large cyclops child, and he is going to face dangers beyond all comprehension.” And you know what? Riordan was so valid for that. 

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 will debut on Disney+ on December 10, 2025.
