Popversations: Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man's Kari Wahlgren walks us through voice acting career and her action figure collection

In our latest edition of Popversations, a members-only video interview series, Ashley V. Robinson talks to Kari Wahlgren about her career voicing characters in Marvel, DC, Star Wars, and beyond!

If you love any and all things nerdy, chances are you have heard Kari Wahlgren's voice somewhere. The voice actor behind Aunt May in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Emma Frost on Wolverine and the X-Men took us behind the scenes in our latest episode of Popversations to give us a look into the world of voicing your favorite characters.

When she isn't voicing some of the most iconic female characters in comics and beyond, Kari Wahlgren has built up a considerable collection of action figures. "If you were to look outside my studio right now in my office, there are shelves and shelves [of action figures]. And I've had to be kind of selective, because I actually have a lot more in storage that I don't have on the shelves... Man, I've got way too many," Wahlgren said about her collection. It's a sentiment a lot of us can relate to!

Later in the interview, Wahlgren breaks down the differences between providing a dub, a voice match, and creating a homegrown performance for animation - a question that we've all had on our minds for quite some time now! Get the whole scoop by watching the interview below.
