Professor T season 4 release date: Here's your clue about when the series is returning to PBS

The genius criminologist who lives with OCD is returning this summer in Professor T season 4

Move over, Sherlock: there's a new detective in the UK. The upcoming Professor T season 4 is the latest chapter in the story of the titular talented criminologist (Ben Miller). The popular British series, which is based on a Belgian series, has a stateside release date on PBS later this summer. So when exactly can you expect to see new episodes of the show?

The Professor T season 4 release date is August 24 at 8:00 PM ET on PBS, the PBS app and the PBS Masterpiece Channel. The show's fourth season will be comprised of six episodes. These episodes will air on a weekly basis through September, with the season finale scheduled to arrive on September 28. However, for members on PBS Passport, all six episodes of Professor T season 4 will be available to stream all at once on August 24. So, be sure and take a look at this summer's busy TV release schedule and plan your viewing accordingly. While there isn't a trailer available for Professor T season 4, here's the preview for the series, released in advance of its debut on PBS in summer 2021:

Professor Jasper Tempest, or "Professor T," is an exceptionally talented criminologist who teaches at the University of Cambridge. Tempest lives with OCD. And he's a sought-after expert who assists the police in solving crimes. The series is based on the hit Belgian series, which debuted a decade ago, in 2015. Since then, there have also been German, French and Czech versions. The series is an international hit, with the UK version already having been renewed for a forthcoming fifth season, currently in production.
Season 4 of Professor T will be released on August 24 at 8:00 PM ET on PBS, the PBS app and the PBS Masterpiece Channel.
