When Taro Sakamoto walked away from the world of professional assassinations, he was considered one of the greatest hitmen of all time. He traded that life to become one of the greatest husbands and fathers in anime, which is a pretty sweet deal if you ask us. With the Sakamoto Days Part 2 release date just around the corner, the hit Netflix anime is back for more heartwarming moments and intense action.

Part 1 of the first season came out in January, but fans had to wait a little longer to see Sakamoto and his friends take on Slur’s murderous forces. The Sakamoto Days Season 1 Part 2 release date is July 14, 2025, with new episodes dropping every week after that. Just like part one, Netflix will be streaming all the new episodes on Mondays around the world alongside the host of other shows they carry every season (including the new Squid Games season.)

When last we saw Taro Sakamoto and his friends, they had just managed to save Lu from being taken back to China to run her mafia family. However, their troubles were just getting started as Slur/X had recruited a quartet of death row inmates to stop Sakamoto from interfering with his plans. Part one only gave us a glimpse of what these killers have in store for the team – soon we’ll get to see just how dangerous they really are.

Sakamoto Days Season 1 Part 2 will be released on July 14, 2025 on Netflix.
