Netflix is keeping the end of Stranger Things season 5 a secret from everyone - even the cast

How is Netfix keeping spoilers away from a plot-hungry fanbase ahead of Stranger Things season 5? We imagine the answer is long and has a lot to do with actors' contracts, but we're certainly not the folks to ask about the inner workings of the Hawkins gang's press team. That said, we can report what the Stranger Things cast themselves have revealed, and lately one of those revelations went like this:
Netflix is keeping Stranger Things season 5 spoilers from the public by keeping them from the cast itself.
The news comes from a discussion between Entertainment Weekly and Stranger Things lead Noah Schnapp, who fans know plays Will Byers in the scifi hit. Speaking about what fans can expect in the coming weeks when season 5 finally drops, Schnapp told the outlet that they won't believe what he's seen so far... and confirmed that what he's seen wasn't even all of it.
"The stakes just keep getting higher and higher," Schnapp said, "And the show — you are not ready. I just watched [episodes] 5 and 6, and I was sobbing. It's so good. And then the finale, they're not gonna show any of us, so I won't see it until the world sees it and I'm just as excited as you guys are."
Damn - Will Byers himself hasn't even seen the series conclusion? Granted, we know he knows what happens (unless Netflix is playing a very mean prank with their scripts), but still, for one of the show's major players to have not already experienced the footage is downright impressive in its secrecy.
Marvel really should get somebody on this team assigned to Alan Cumming.
Stranger Things season 5, volume one debuts November 26 on Netflix, followed by volume 2 on December 25, and the ultimate finale of the series on December 31.
