For years, Stephen Amell dealt with the justice system the old-fashioned way — by putting on a colorful costume and being a vigilante in a fictional city threatened by outlandish villains as the star of the CW's Arrow. Now, he’s older, wiser, and has to come to terms with a new relationship with the law… but at least, as the new Suits LA trailer demonstrates, he’s better dressed for the occasion.
Amell https://www.thepopverse.com/stephen-amell-suits-la-2024-pilot-nbc-universal plays Ted Black in the new series, which spins out of the fan favorite USA series that found new life on streaming services in 2023 — and if you’re wondering what kind of a guy Ted is, the new trailer is perfectly prepared to let you know: he’s confident — “I’m the best attorney in the country,” he says at one point to underscore that point — and ambitious, heading up the largest law firm in Los Angeles.
He’s also surrounded by romance, intrigue, and some familiar faces — is that Patton Oswalt at one point?!? — with the trailer speedily trying to establish that the second Suits series will act just like the first, if not even glossier, salacious, and ready to thrill viewers.
The series, which will air on NBC instead of secondary cable channel USA, debuts Sunday Feb 23 at 9pm.
