More OA? The White Lotus star Jason Isaacs seemingly teases a surprise return for the Netflix sci-fi cult hit

Isaacs says that OA creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij are dedicated to a series return "whatever it takes"

Stranger Things may be the biggest sci-fi project that Netflix is working on at the moment, but it's hardly the only one. In fact, another genre cult hit may be in the works for a revival, according to one of the series stars. That show would be the dimension hopping drama The OA, and the star in question is none other than Jason Isaacs, AKA one of the biggest stars of The White Lotus season 3.

The report comes from a recent appearance Isaacs made on LIVE with Kelly and Mark. Hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos told Isaacs they "were the original fans of The OA," telling The Patriot actor that they "binged" the series as well as "rewatched" it. And apparently, Isaacs wanted them to know that their journey with the series wasn't over, not by a long shot.

"By the way," said Isaacs, "It's not over. Not for us."

In case you've made it this far and don't already know, The OA ran on Netflix for two seasons between 2016 and 2019. It begins by telling the story of Prarie, a blind woman who reappears after having been missing for years, with her eyesight returned and strange, cosmic knowledge implanted in her mind. The series was created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, and according to Isaacs, it's those creative minds who hard at work bringing the series back.

"We can't let it go," the actor says, "I was with [Marling and Batmanglij] just a couple of weeks ago, and we have decided, whatever it takes. [...] I think there's only about 40 million people around the world who want to watch it. It was a very successful show. So hopefully, they'll watch whatever we do."

Well Jason, you have at least two fans who are already onboard.

The OA season 1 and 2 are streaming now on Netflix
