Superheroes were born out of serial storytelling - comic books, and comic strips - and TV shows have proven to good fit for telling those stories off the printed page. While superhero movies seem like the center of attention, superhero TV shows have been the mainstream public's dish of choice for generations.

From great heights like the '60s Batman show and the '90s Batman: The Animated Series (yes, there's more to superheroes than Batman), television has been a fertile ground for telling stories of individuals with super abilities and/or secret identities.

While the height of the Arrow-verse on the CW is behind us, superhero TV lives on with streaming services and the occassional terrestial/network show. From Marvel Studios' Disney+ output to DC's new 'Gods and Monsters' line across the CW, Max and more, to even the amazing about of superhero anime on Crunchyroll, there's a lot to watch - and you don't need X-Ray vision to find it.

Popverse has assembled a list of all the current and upcoming superhero TV shows, from Marvel and DC to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and more. Live-action? Yes. Animated? Yes. Anime? That too.

We'll be updating this every time a new superhero TV show is announced and/or a release dae is revealed. So stay tuned!
