Abbott Elementary season 3 premieres on February 7, 2024, with one hour-long first episode, breaking the usual sitcom format in favor of a big return to our screens.

Season 3 of Abbott Elementary begins on Wednesday, February 7, at 9pm EST on ABC, but it'll also be available to stream on Hulu the day after airing on ABC. The third season will also eventually come to Max, much like the previous ones.
What is the Abbott Elementary season 3 episode release schedule?
Abbott Elementary season 3 reportedly consists of 14 episodes (according to Deadline's sources) and is expected to follow a regular weekly release schedule, starting on February 7 with the longer-than-usual premiere. ABC will, however, release Episode 7 the same day as the Oscars telecast (via The Hollywood Reporter) in an effort to boost the ratings of both offerings.
As it stands, Abbott Elementary season 3 should have the following release schedule on ABC (one day later on the Disney-owned Hulu service) up to Episode 10, with the four final episodes' dates yet to be confirmed:

What is Abbott Elementary about?
Abbott Elementary is a mockumentary sitcom TV series created by Quinta Brunson (Lazor Wulf, Miracle Workers) for ABC. It stars Brunson as Janine Teagues, an optimistic second-grade teacher at the underfunded Abbott Elementary school, located in Philadelphia.
Spoilers for the season 2 finale of Abbott Elementary ahead.The season 2 finale, which aired in April 2023, focused on Janine and Gregory (Tyler James Williams) finally talking about their romantic feelings. Despite fan expectations, the duo chose to remain friends after Janine claimed she needed time to prioritize other aspects of her life instead of dating. Season 3 plot details are unknown at this point, as the short promos released so far have focused on the show's signature comedy instead.
