May is a busy month for Marvel, with Blood Hunt beginning — in both regular and polybagged "red band" editions, for more bloody violence — and the end of the Krakoa era coming in fast for the X-Men titles. But that’s far from all to discover in the new round of solicitations from Marvel: Who thought that we’d get a new Godzilla omnibus, for one thing? And what’s Marv Wolfman doing back in Amazing Spider-Man?!?
While the Avengers are getting involved in Blood Hunt in their main book, we should pay attention to the fact that the acclaimed Avengers: Twilight is coming to a conclusion in May with what looks to be a suitably apocalyptic final issue — a “horrific bomb has been dropped”?!? — while both Captain America and Captain Marvel seem to be getting new beginnings in their own titles. And while we’re on the subject of new beginnings, let’s just acknowledge the elephant in the room in that Avengers #14 solicit: there’s a new team line-up?!? And it includes Hawkeye?
