Average Joe Season 2 release date: When the Deon Cole series will finally return on Paramount+

This season, the action will head to Cape Town, South Africa.

Average Joe starring Emmy Award-nominated actor Deon Cole as Joe Washington is a dark dramedy created by Robb Cullen. The first season, which was released on BET+, proved to be a huge hit for the streaming platform. But with BET+ having been shuttered in the wake of Paramount buying out Tyler Perry Studios' minority stake, you can plan on streaming the upcoming Average Joe Season 2 on Paramount+.

Average Joe Season 2 will debut on August 19th, 2026 on Paramount+. The first two episodes of the eight-episode season will be available to stream on Paramount+ on that date, with the rest of the new episodes debuting on a weekly Wednesday basis after that. It has been almost three years since the first season of Average Joe debuted on June 26th, 2023. Here's the official trailer for Average Joe Season 2:

In Average Joe, viewers are treated to the story of Joe Washington (Cole), a man who discovers his late father was working for the Russian mafia and stole a car and ten million dollars from them. The show also stars Kathrine Barnes as Arina, Pasha D. Lychnikoff as Nicolai Dzhugashvili, Cynthia McWilliams as Cathy Montgomery, Malcolm Barrett as Leon Montgomery, Ashani Roberts as Sgt. Pam Talford, Tammy Townsend as Angela Washington and Ashley Olivia Fisher as Jennifer Washington.

Season 2 of Average Joe will debut on Paramount+ on August 19th, 2026.
