DC's Absolute Batman, Wonder Woman, & Superman event has one writer — but "ALL" of the Absolute writers are plotting it together

DC's been teeing up a crossover event for its Absolute line of comics for a little while, and now, we have a brand new peek behind their hero-patterned curtains. According to DC's Absolute Batman writer (and Absolute DC architect), Scott Snyder, the crossover story will feature a script from one of comics' most important names: Thor and Southern Bastards writer Jason Aaron.

In case you somehow don't already know, Aaron has been a part of the Absolute line ever since it launched, the writer behind its reimagining of the Man of Steel in Absolute Superman. But the reason that we know about Aaron's crossover script didn't have anything to do with the man in the fiery cape - it actually came about because of Martian Manhunter.

Scott Snyder was recently at Comic Con Portugal, where he was approached by a fan wondering about Martian Manhunter's involvement in the Absolute crossover, and by extension, the involvement of AMM writer Deniz Camp. What role, the fan asked (and posted to Twitter account @iREUS_SA), will the two play in the upcoming event?

"He plays a really big role in the event," Snyder confirmed, "He helps bring everybody together."

But as to the involvement of Camp, Snyder made one qualification.

"We're not co-writing it," he said, "it's gonna be Jason [Aaron] who's writing the actual thing, but we're all plotting it together. So Deniz is there, in the room. [We're] making it together. So it's really fun in that regard; it's like a big, team effort."

Well there you go, Absolute Superman fans. And I guess - there you go, Absolute Martian Manhunter fans. DC's Absolute crossover is certainly going to pack in the whole roster of the alt-version Justice League, but some of your favorite folks will have the largest thumbprint on the strory.

Here's an update to date guide on the Absolute Batman release schedule.
