Absolute Batman #11 release date: DC's rebooted Bane (and rebooted Arkham Asylum) menaces the Dark Knight
DC's Absolute Batman is the big thing in DC - and superhero comics. Here's how you can get into the craze.

Popverse's top stories
- DC has unveiled a major new Wonder Woman villain over two years in the making, co-created by one of James Gunn's top writers
- Simon Kinberg on writing X-Men movies, producing Glenn Powell's The Running Man remake, and co-creating Star Wars Rebels [Popversations]
- Livestream Monster Hunter Wilds, Borderlands 4, Magic: The Gathering x Spider-Man, and more PAX West 2025 panels live

Batman has been the world's Dark Knight for years - and as the days have gotten darker, we need a Batman to match. That's why the new Absolute Batman by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta is striking such a chord with people as it pushes past the billionaire playboy trope and into a Batman who struggles like the rest of us - and still comes out on top.
Absolute Batman has become the best-selling comic book series of the past year - pretty much every month since it debuted - and coming up it will be revealing its dark take on the origin of Batman's longtime adversary Bane. August 20's Absolute Batman #11 with Snyder and guest artist Clay Mann is promising to give us the Absolute Bane we want - even if we don't know what that is yet.
Following that, series artist Nick Dragotta returns in September's Absolute Batman #12.
