How often do new chapters of Re: Zero come out?

There isn’t a set release schedule for new Re: Zero chapters, either in the light novel format or the manga adaptation. Most of the time, new editions are released when they are completed, which can sometimes be weeks, but often extends to months.

What Re: Zero adaptations are currently ongoing?

There are currently three versions of Re: Zero being published. There is the original web novel by Tappei Nagatsuki, which first started publication on April 20, 2012. The web novel is published for free when new chapters are completed. A light novel version began to be published on January 24, 2014, which is also written by Tappei Nagatsuki and is illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka. Finally, a manga version began serialization on June 27, 2014. All three are currently ongoing.

When is the next chapter of Re: Zero – Starting Life in Another World coming out?

The next Re: Zero release date is light novel volume 45, which will be released in Japan on June 25, 2026. For English speakers, the next release date is Re: Zero – Starting Life in Another World light novel Volume 29, which will be released on July 14, 2026. For manga readers, Re: Zero Part 4 Volume 11 will release in English on August 25, 2026. Finally, Volume 6 of the Re: Zero short story collections will be released on November 10, 2026.

Do all the Re:Zero versions adapt the same story?

All three of the printed versions of Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World are written by Tappei Nagatsuki and are based on the original web novel, so they all cover the same story. The difference between them is that the light novel and manga have different illustrators. Otherwise, the story events of the manga, light novel, and web novel are all the same.

Can you read Re: Zero for free?

Yes, you can read the Re: Zero web novel for free, though you’ll need to be able to read Japanese to read it properly. Otherwise, you’ll need to pick up the English releases of either the light novel or the manga to stay up-to-date with Subaru and his adventures.
