Anime fans have been waiting more than a decade for Seraph of the End Season 2, and this week’s news isn’t going to make them feel much better. The hit manga, which has been published for nearly 14 years now, is coming to an end shortly. While an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, we now know that Seraph of the End Volume 37 will be the last in the manga’s run.
The news was confirmed when Seraph of the End Volume 36 shipped on May 1, 2026. In the afterward, writer Takaya Kagami said that Volume 37 will be the end of the manga’s story. An exact release date hasn’t been announced, but we can speculate a little bit about when it will happen. New chapters are typically published once a month, and most volumes have five chapters in them, which means that the final chapter of Seraph of the End will probably come in either September or October 2026, with the final collected volume hitting shelves in Japan near the end of 2026. It is entirely possible that the final volume will be slightly larger or smaller, depending on how many pages Takaya Kagami and artist Yamato Yamamoto need to wrap up the story.
The Seraph of the End final chapter is fast approaching, but that probably shouldn’t be too much of a surprise for many fans. The series has been moving towards its climax for a while now, and we’re all just wondering how the final chapter will shake out.
Seraph of the End Volume 37 will be the final volume in the series and is probably coming before the end of 2026.
