After writing Wolverine for more than 5 years, Benjamin Percy can still "keep going" as Logan's writer
Benjamin Percy has explored Wolverine's past and present in Marvel Comics, but would love to take a stab at writing future Logan

Since 2020, Benjamin Percy has become practically synonymous with Wolverine. The writer wrote Logan's solo series during the X-Men's Krakoan era, as well as the team book X-Force, in which Logan was a member. He showed all of us X-Men fans that when Wolverine is in a body of water, he sinks really fast to the bottom because of the heaviness of his adamantium skeleton. He can swim though. If you don't believe me, I direct you to X-Force (2019) #16 by Benjamin Percy and Joshua Cassara.
With so much time spent exploring the X-Man who's the best there is at what he does, Percy has a special investment in Wolverine. Speaking to our video producer, Ashley Victoria Robinson, as part of the members-only video interview series, Popversations, Percy addressed the feelings he has about writing Wolverine. “I can just keep going. I can take [Wolverine] into the future. I can take him into the future as well, if you wanna go there. But I also have to respect the fact that I’ve been his custodian for a long time… and I also have to make room for others," Percy said.
Percy explored various eras of Logan's past in the storyline X Lives/X Deaths of Wolverine. Considering that the character has been alive since 1832, there is quite a lot of historical real estate to play around in. At the same time, the future is bright! Who knows what Percy could get up to with writing a future Wolverine story?
While Percy is happy to make space for other writers to tackle Wolverine, let the record show that I at least would be very here for a future Wolverine story written by him.
