She-Hulk is stuck on Sakaar in new Planet She-Hulk spin-off comic launching this fall

Jennifer Walters made the mistake of telling her cousin she would look after Sakaar for a few days but Hulk left her stranded.

Sakaar is a brutal planet, which is why it became the second home to Hulk during the iconic Planet Hulk storyline. However, Bruce Banner isn’t the only Hulk who is spending more time than they expected on Sakaar. Planet She-Hulk, an upcoming ongoing series from Marvel Comics, gives Jennifer Walters a whole planet to look after just like her cousin.

The new comic book was announced during Marvel's Next Big Thing panel just now at San Diego Comic Con 2025, with Planet She-Hulk #1 going on sale in November 2025. The new ongoing series is a spin-off of Imperial War: Planet She-Hulk and is written by Stephanie Phillips. Aaron Kuder is doing the art and cover for the new book.

How did She-Hulk find herself in this situation? From the description, it sounds like she made the mistake of doing Hulk a favor. “She-Hulk is back, and she’s... stuck on Sakaar?? Jennifer Walters made a promise to her cousin, Hulk, to watch over the planet Sakaar and its people for a few days. But it’s been longer than a few days, and now She-Hulk is in charge of keeping the peace on a planet at war! But Jennifer is a VERY different Hulk than the one that once smashed Sakaar into submission… is she up for the task?”

The idea is an interesting one; She-Hulk, with her legal drama and breaking-the-fourth-wall antics, has always been a very different kind of comic book than Hulk, so putting her into the same situation he was in should provide an interesting foil between the two of them. Is Jennifer Walters going to try to use her lawyer brain to help the citizens of Sakaar chill out? Or is she going to have to smash the place up like Bruce Banner did before?

Planet She-Hulk #1 goes on sale in November 2025.
