Former UFC and WWE star Ronda Rousey isn't afraid of wearing many hats. Whether it's her work as a judoka, wrestler, actress, or budding comic book writer, Rousey contains multitudes. And she's just getting started.
Rousey has written a graphic novel published by AWA called Expecting the Unexpected about a pregnant hit-woman. Drawn by Mike Deodato, the story marked Rousey's first foray into the world of writing comics. And as she explained to our video producer, Ashley Victoria Robinson, in her episode of Popversations at New York Comic Con, Rousey has been bitten by the comic bug.
"I already wrote a sequel to [Expecting the Unexpected], because I'm obsessed with it. If it does well enough, I would love to do the sequel. I just think for every stage of being parents for Mom and [the father], there would be a different book going through that," Rousey said.
Expecting the Unexpected follows a badass hit-woman who sleeps with a target, and then discovers that she's pregnant. The character, who uses the codename "Mom," got her nickname because she hides guns and other kinds of weapons beneath a fake baby bump.
