All of the Critical Role Campaign 4 convergence episodes have already shot, and it took almost eight hours according to Sam Riegel

Riegel, along with costars Taliesin Jaffe, Whitney Moore, Alexander Ward, and Luis Carazo, says Critical Role's Campaign 4 characters are coming back together soon, and they're going to have a very long reunion

Critical Role Campaign 4 did something no other core campaign has ever done in the TTRPG actual play's history - split up the cast into three separate storylines. Those storylines, though, were always part of one larger, overarching narrative - the tale of GM Brennan Lee Mulligan's Aramán - so fans have spent the past few months wondering: just when will the whole cast be back together at the same table again?

Well according to very reliable one inside source, that session has already been filmed.

That very reliable source is one Sam Riegel, who recently attended Awesome Con 2026 along with fellow Aramánian denizens Taliesin Jaffe, Whitney Moore, Alexander Ward, and Luis Carazo. As you know if you've been keeping up with Critical 4, these cast members are spread across the adventure's three distinct tables - the Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers - but at one point in the panel, an attending Critter had to ask: what structure or plan did the gang have to bring those tables back together?

"Structure or plan," moaned Jaffe, "Oh god!"

"We do," responded Riegel, uncharacteristically going for the more serious answer, "Not only do we have a plan, we've done it. We just we just shot those episodes last week."

Awesome! How did that go?

"Chaos rains," chimed in Moore.

"It was a lot," Ward agreed.

"You'll see it in a few months," Riegel continued, "It was a technical challenge. [...] It was crazy and fun and chaotic and threatened to go almost 8 hours long."

Damn, folks. That's one hell of a session. It seems like Riegel's referencing "those episodes" means the upcoming battle sequence will be split up, so at least we won't have to binged 8 full hours of D&D combat. But then again, those episodes fitting Critical Role's release schedule also means we might have to stop mid-fight and wait a full week for the next chapter to come back. And I can't decide which is worse.

Critical Role Campaign 4 is streaming now on the group's BeaconYouTube, and Twitch channels.

With two animated series on Prime Video, Campaign 4 in full swing, and so much more Exandrian lore to come, Critical Role is showing no signs of slowing down. That's why the adventuring party at Popverse are here to bring you everything we can from those nerdy-ass voice actors & Bo., including:

...and much, much more. Roll initiative, player. Magic awaits.
