Marvel and Magic the Gathering drop a surprise Deadpool set for April Pool's Day (No, that's not a typo)

The Secret Lair X Marvel’s Deadpool set is available for order now and ships April 3

Well, that’s how you celebrate April Fool’s Day — not by playing a prank on some unsuspecting (but potentially deserving, let’s be real) schmuck, but by dropping a surprise Marvel x Magic the Gathering collaboration that is both announced and shipped in the same week. Happy April Pools, everyone!

The limited edition Secret Lair X Marvel’s Deadpool set is immediately available for preorder, although supplies are limited; shipping will begin April 3. The set includes the following:

  • 1x Deadpool Trading Card
  • 1x Deadly Rollick
  • 1x Saw in Half
  • 1x Blasphemous Act
  • 1x Vandalblast

The official description of the set runs as follows: “But I wasn’t expecting guests. Just, uh, kick back, relax, and . . . don’t sit on my red suit! It’s drying out. But check this out—Secret Lair made me my own Deadpool cards! Isn’t that nice? So pretty. This one even says, ‘trading card,’ so you don’t forget. Anyway, make yourself comfortable and if you need anything, I’ll be in the kitchen making chimichangas.”

Art for the set comes from Justine Cruz, Slawomir Maniak, Miguel Mercado, Kevin Sidharta and Tomasz Zarucki.

You see, everyone else? This is what we want from April Fool’s Day!
