Dying Light: The Beast release date: Can you survive when the zombie game arrives on consoles and PC?

The third game in the series, Dying Light: The Beast sees the return of the first game's protagonist

What's worse than a world overrun by zombies? Being imprisoned and experimented on for thirteen years in a world overrun by zombies. Dying Light: The Beast is the fourth entry in the gaming series from Techland. Originally conceived as downloadable content for the second game, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the third game's release date is coming up later this summer. So when can you expect to sink your teeth into Dying Light: The Beast?

The Dying Light: The Beast release date is August 22 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. And the Dying Light: The Beast release date is late 2025 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. it's been a decade since the survival horror series began in 2015 with Dying Light. Then in 2022 the sequel, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, was released. While Dying Light: The Beast began as downloadable content for the second game, it was announced as a separate release in 2024 and now is one of the exciting gaming titles being released this summer. In Dying Light: The Beast, players will once again take control of the protagonist from the first game in the series, Kyle Crane (Roger Craig Smith). Having been imprisoned for more than a decade, Crane escapes into Castor Woods, a Twin Peaks-inspired town overrun by zombies. The game adopts a first person perspective to put you directly into the action. Meanwhile, the setting is an open world environment that can be explored through drivable 4x4s and Crane's parkour skills.
