When Sony puts together the lineup for their State of Play presentations, the goal isn’t just to showcase how many great video games are on the way, but to highlight how many great PlayStation games are on the way. However, the most recent Sony State of Play felt more like a celebration of Konami’s past and future.

Konami gave us three game announcements during the February 2026 Sony State of Play presentation. A brand new 2D Castlevania game titled Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is coming later this year to celebrate the series’ 40th anniversary. We’re also getting a brand new JRPG from the company called Rev. Noir, which looks gorgeous and confusing, which is a compliment in this genre. Finally, Konami revealed that the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, which contains remasters of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, is coming out in August 2026.

The big reveal at the Sony State of Play last night, though, was the latest reveal around Silent Hill: Townfall, which moves the iconic horror franchise to uncharted territory – Scotland. Developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn Interactive, Silent Hill: Townfall is the latest in the apparent revival of the horror franchise, following 2025’s Silent Hill f and 2024’s Silent Hill 2 Remake. Townfall feels exactly as creepy and atmospheric as you want a Silent Hill game to be, with plenty of otherworldly mysteries to uncover.

Konami had a big night last night, with a mixture of new games and remasters to show why they’re still one of the big publishers and developers in the video game industry.
