If you've ever played Magic: The Gathering's Commander format, the name "Dockside Extortionist" might strike fear in you. It's a card that was banned in Commander in 2024 thanks to its absolutely broken ability to generate Treasure tokens and thus, mana. Before it was banned, Dockside Extortionist had immense value on the secondary market precisely because of its useful mechanic. And now, with the release of Magic: The Gathering x Avatar: The Last Airbender set for later this month, the Dockside Extortionist will live to see another day as part of the set's Booster Fun bonus sheet.
The bonus sheet cards for Avatar: The Last Airbender consist of Partner Source Material cards. These are borderless cards featuring art taken directly from frames of the original animated show. Your mileage may vary when it comes to any aesthetic bonus that the cards' design has for you, but I think any and all loot goblins will appreciate Dockside Extortionist making an appearance once again. Take a look at the card below.

Right now, Dockside Extortionist can run you anywhere between $19.32 to $42.82 on TCGPlayer, depending on the version and printing of the card. Avatar: The Last Airbender will be released on November 21, 2025, so it will only be a matter of weeks before we see how much this version of Dockside Extortionist will go for on the secondary market.
