If you play video games and Magic: The Gathering, 2025 has been a fruitful year. There was a hugely successful Final Fantasy x Magic: The Gathering crossover, as well as a Secret Lair x PlayStation superdrop starring characters from The Last of Us, God of War, Uncharted, Ghost of Tsushima, and more. But there is still more to come!
Per Wizards of the Coast, each drop is priced at $29.99, with the foil edition of the cards going for $39.99. There will be four different drops for Secret Lair x Monster Hunter, which are as follows:
The Hunt is one drop comprised of non-creature spells based around "the terrifying attacks that monsters across the Monster Hunter franchise can unleash."
- 1x Blind Obedience: Malzeno from Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
- 1x Snap: Kushala Daora from Monster Hunter 2
- 1x Village Rites: Magnamalo and Tobi-Kadachi from Monster Hunter Rise
- 1x Mizzium Mortars: Yian Garuga from Monster Hunter Generations and Monster Hunter 2
- 1x Tooth and Nail: Azure Rathalos and Seregios from Monster Hunter 4
If hunters are more your speed, then The Hunters drop is for you. IGN notes that each card depicts "a different set of armor and weapons" and "human creature subtype."
- 1x Grand Abolisher: Tigrex Armor with Bone Scythes from Monster Hunter Generations and Monster Hunter Freedom 2
- 1x Archaeomancer: Velkhana Armor with Slinger and Winged Seraphyd Greatsword from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
- 1x Grim Haruspex: Nargacuga Armor with a Hidden Eye Light Bowgun from Monster Hunter P2G/MHFU
- 1x Imperial Recruiter: Rathalos Armor with Red Tigrex Claws; Brachydios Armor with Burning Knocker; Gore Malaga Armor and Royal Rose from Monster Hunter 4G
- 1x Champion of Lambholt: Astalos Armor with Verdant Lightning Shield from Monster Hunter Generations.
And, of course, it wouldn't be a Monster Hunter release without some cards based around the monsters themselves. There are two different monster-themed Secret Lair drops, aptly titled The Monsters and The Monsters II. The Monsters features art by Brock Grossman, oxygen, Toy(e), Wayne Wu, and Kemonomichi.
- 1x Nezahal, Primal Tide: Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter 3
- 1x Drakuseth, Maw of Flames: Rathalos from Monster Hunter Generations
- 1x Sarulf, Realm Eater: Zinogre from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
- 1x Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire: Nergigante from Monster Hunter World
- 1x Ziatora, the Incinerator: Fatalis from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
The Monsters II has art by Daniel Romanovsky, Wayne Wu, and Ryuichi Sakuma.
- 1x Razaketh, the Foulblooded: The Gore Malaga from Monster Hunter 4
- 1x Amareth, the Lustrous: Velkhana from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
- 1x Wasitora, Nekorus Queen: Nargacuga from Monster Hunter Portable 2nd Generation/Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
- 1x Kalamax, the Stormsire: Brachydios from Monster Hunter 3 Generations
The Secret Lair x Monster Hunter superdrop will be available from December 1 at 9 AM PT to December 22 at 11:59 PT while supplies last.
