Philipp Meyer-Doyle's crime thriller American Rust brought the fictional lens of a corrupt police force to rural Pennsylvania. In 2021 we got a television adaptation of the book. Now Prime Video has brought back actors Jeff Daniels (The Martian), and Maura Tierney (The Affair), back to Buell, PA for another dramatic season. The stars sat down remotely with Popverse's Ashley Victoria Robinson to share how Del and Grace's relationship has changed and progressed since they connected in the first season - and even to hint at shifting power dynamics between the two which will come into play as their story continues on screen.
Luckily for us, Popverse’s Ashley V. Robinson was able to get an early look at American Rust: Broken Justice and highlight a couple Spoiler Free moments fans of the series are going to want to keep their eyes peeled for now that the second season has debuted.
"Things get more harrowing again," Maura Tierney reveals to Popverse, "and I was just like: 'Alright, so I'll get 110% behind this, kind of, really outrageous behaviour by my character.' Which I also thought was funny."
