Jessica Jones' Krysten Ritter is slyly campaigning (or is it teasing?) for her Marvel MCU debut

Is a Defenders reunion on the horizon?

Following rumors of the character having a cut cameo in Echo, Krysten Ritter may be teasing (or simply campaigning for) a debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jessica Jones.

Only a couple of months ago, we were almost fully convinced that Marvel had officially pushed the Netflix shows (as well as Agents of SHIELD) out of the firm Sacred Timeline continuity (the MCU's main one), and now we find ourselves facing the opposite: Marvel Studios has made at least the original Daredevil series 100% canon, something that even Echo's marketing material relative to Wilson Fisk AKA Kingpin has confirmed.

Now, the fans' eyes are slowly turning to Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones and Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle AKA The Punisher, another two highlights from the late Marvel-Netflix series. While the latter has been seemingly confirmed to be on board by the Hollywood trades, a lot has happened since Daredevil: Born Again paused production last year and faced a huge creative overhaul. As for Ritter, she's been expressing her desire to come back for a few years now, and now she's taken things to the next level with an Instagram story:

As pointed out by the fan account Agents of SHIELD ITA, Ritter shared an IG story wearing a certain T-shirt with the message "IYKYK" (if you know, you know). She also tagged Givenchy, the French clothing brand behind the design, which you can check out here.

The shirt was worn by her Marvel character in episode 10 of season 3 of the original show, so this is either a random post about the 'old days' working on the beloved series or a very cheeky tease of what's to come (or already happening). With Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll also returning in the new Daredevil series, it's feeling like any transition from the Netflix realm is possible at this point.

Until official sources state otherwise, we're assuming the actress is simply raising her hand and hoping to be picked up for future street-level MCU stories, which feels like the logical thing to do at this moment for anyone who had fun in past Marvel TV series. As someone who loved Agents of SHIELD, my actor wishlist is quite long, but that's a story for another day.
