Wicked star Cynthia Erivo has found her next villain role: Dracula
Wicked's lead Erivo will perform Dracula as a one-woman show, meaning she'll have to rely on some tricks she pulled off in Peacock's Poker Face

At this point in her career, Cynthia Erivo has become an icon for... well, portraying icons. Perhaps best known for her role as green-skinned Elphaba in the cinematic adaptation of Wicked, Erivo was recently announced to be tackling the role of Jesus Christ in a Hollywood Bowl production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Now, Erivo is returning to the stage for a character on the other side of the corss - that is, Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Deadline reported on May 12 that the Wicked star will be playing Dracula in a show on London's famous West End, wherein she will also portray all the other characters of the play; 23 in total. If a one-woman take on a literary classic sounds familiar to you, it should - this production of Dracula comes from director Kip Williams and producers Michael Cassel and Adam Kenwright, the same folks who brought the Sarah Snook-starring Picture of Dorian Gray to life.
We'd bet, though, that Cynthia Erivo playing multiple roles also sounds familiar to you if you're a fan of actor's work. In this season of Peacock's Poker Face, Erivo joined Natasha Lyonne in a mystery revolving around a group of quintuplets, all of whom were portrayed by the onscreen Elphaba.
So not only does Erivo know how to play multiple roles in the same project, but she's also got a handle on murdering while doing it. Sounds like she's pretty prepared for a one-woman Dracula.
As of this writing, Cynthia Erivo's Dracula does not have a date set for opening night.
