It’s the espionage crossover you never saw coming, with a new poster for the upcoming anime Spy × Family Code: White disguising itself as… a Mission: Impossible movie?

It’s wonderfully true; as revealed by Crunchyroll, the latest poster for CODE: White is a recreation of a poster for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, in theaters this week. (Buy tickets on Fandango or Atom Tickets.)

This officially sanctioned tribute isn’t the only way in which the fan-favorite Spy × Family is paying tribute to Mission: Impossible; the team behind the anime also created a teaser for the new Tom Cruise movie, which you can see below.

All of this is likely to only whet fans’ appetite for Spy × Family Code: White even more; that movie, which is directed by Takashi Katagiri and based on an original story, will not arrive in theaters in Japan until December 22 this year.
