Marvel teases fans with new Avengers: Doomsday audio on its Doomsday Clock countdown livestream

In the countdown to the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23 Expo 2026, Marvel Studios has been teasing fans with a little bit more to the Avengers: Doomsday Clock countdown to the release of this December’s next big movie — by adding Doctor Doom to the visual, and some notable audio clips for those patient enough to hang out on the livestream.

As the countdown clock hit 4 months, 3 days, 13 hours, and 5 minutes, the visual of the livestream changed from the green Avengers: Doomsday version of the Avengers logo to a new image of Robert Downey Jr’s Victor Von Doom looking appropriately melodramatic — the same image, in fact, as the new poster for the movie:

Five minutes after the visual shift was complete, the ticking clock audio was replaced by audio of Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm saying, “Victor was always the smartest guy in every room. He used to be different…” 70 minutes after that, another audio clip continued, “He used to be kind, he used to be caring…” 70 minutes later, another clip added yet more, with Kirby saying, “And then, everything he loved was taken from him.”

Oddly enough, 70 minutes later, the first clip repeated: “Victor was always the smartest guy in every room. He used to be different…” The next audio clip repeated the second audio, suggesting those three audio clips of Vanessa Kirby will be looped in their entirety for some time. Beyond that, however, who knows?

Fans on social media have enjoyed pranking other fans not paying attention to the stream, by pretending that audio revealing appearances from Iron Fist, Daredevil and the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man have also been played during the stream; they haven’t.

The activity on the livestream is believed to be a lead-in to some kind of Avengers: Doomsday promotion tied to D23 Expo on August 14, with many speculating that the trailer shown to fans at San Diego Comic-Con will be released online.
