Scream has passed through the realm of being a parody of horror classics and has become a classic itself. Now, two of the original baddies from that franchise are reuniting for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. With a new trailer also comes the news that Skeet Ulrich is joining the cast, joining Scream co-star Matthew Lillard in the Blumhouse horror franchise.

The first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s is out, and it shows that the sequel is diving deeper into the lore of the video game franchise and bringing more deadly animatronic characters onto the big screen. While it hasn’t been confirmed who he will play, Empire has reported that Skeet Ulrich is joining the cast for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, ending months of speculation that he would be joining his Scream co-star Matthew Lillard in a horror film after all these years.

For those who don’t remember, Lillard and Ulrich played the men behind the Ghostface mask in the original Scream back in 1996, cementing both their places in the horror genre. Now, almost 30 years later, they’ll be back on the screen, scaring the pants off of all of us once again in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. While Ulrich has appeared in Scream movies since the original, and Lillard is set to appear in some capacity in the upcoming Scream 7, this will be a long-awaited reunion of the two original baddies of the franchise.

Scream stars Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich will be together again when Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 lands in cinemas on December 5, 2025.
