The Masters of the Universe release date is June 5th, 2026 in theaters. The movie is the latest entry in the Masters of the Universe franchise, which originated with Mattel's 1992 action figure line of the same name. While there have been plenty of titles associated with the franchise over the intervening decades, this is only the second live-action outing, after the 1987 movie of the same name. In Masters of the Universe, Nicholas Galitzine stars as Prince Adam/He-Man. Sent to Earth for his own protection as a child, the movie sees Adam discovering his origins on Eternia and laying claim to his true identity. The star-studded cast also includes Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Charlotte Riley, Kristen Wiig, Jared Leto and Idris Elba.
