Paramount's Street Fighter movie drops its first trailer, complete with Eric Andre screaming
The upcoming Street Fighter movie centers on Ryu teaming up with his old buddy Ken Masters for a World Warrior Tournament

I thought I would not live to see the day when Eric Andre would scream "STREET FIGHTER" in the guttural screech he pioneered on The Eric Andre Show, but here we are. And boy, does it feel good.
The first trailer for Paramount and Legendary's upcoming Street Fighter movie has dropped, and in case you're wondering, it's directed by The Eric Andre Show's own Kitao Sakurai. Beyond the fact that Sakurai got Andre in the film to do his characteristic voice in this film, it looks like getting a comedy director to helm Street Fighter will help bring out the humorous and campy aspects of the video game series. Take a look at it below.
Eric Andre will be joined for the festivities by Andrew Koji (Warrior) as Ryu, Noah Centineo (To All The Boys...) as Ken Masters, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Cody Rhodes as Guile, 50 Cent as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters (the tall guy from Reacher season 3) as Zangief, Vidyut Jammwal as Halsim, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Jason Momoa as Blanka.
Video game adaptations continue to light up Hollywood, with Mortal Kombat II and Resident Evil set to hit theaters later this year. Street Fighter will be released in theaters on October 16, 2026 - after Mortal Kombat II and Resident Evil - so it will be interesting to see how it performs in comparison. Hopefully, it won't get fans brawling on the streets afterwards.
