Toy Story 5 release date: When the toys are back in town (in theaters)

Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack are among the returning voice actors

When they said "you've got a friend in me," they really meant "a lifelong friend." This summer, three decades after the debut of the original movie, Toy Story 5 is arriving in theaters. So, when can you plan on the arrival of the release date for Toy Story 5 in theaters?

The release date for Toy Story 5 is June 19th, 2026 in theaters. It has been about seven years since the previous movie, Toy Story 4, debuted on June 21st, 2019. Randy Newman will be returning as a composer for Toy Story 5, marking the musician's tenth collaboration with Pixar. Of course, while Toy Story 5 is extremely exciting, it's only one of the many movie release dates to keep in mind this summer. Here's the official trailer for Toy Story 5:

At the conclusion of the fourth Toy Story movie, Woody (Tom Hanks) left Bonnie's toy collection so as to help abandoned toys find new owners. This left Jessie (Joan Cusack) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) as the leaders of Bonnie's toy collection. But the situation becomes much more complicated when Bonnie becomes obsessed with a new toy: the electronic tablet, Lilypad (Greta Lee). Many additional returning cast members have been confirmed to appear in the movie. In addition, Ernie Hudson will be taking over the role of Combat Carl, who was previously voiced by the late Carl Weathers. Plus, Conan O'Brien will be appearing as a new character, Smarty Pants.

The Toy Story 5 theatrical release date is June 19th, 2026.
