Our Flag Means Death is a lot of good silly fun, but that doesn't mean that it's fun for all ages. No - there is stabbing (consensual and non-consensual), murder, and a jar filled with noses. But what is the official television rating for the show?

According to streaming service Max, Our Flag Means Death is rated TV-MA Mature Audience Only for violence and crude language. This wont be a huge surprise for those who have seen the show. There is indeed violence and crude language involved.

For those of you who aren't familiar with official televison ratings (and I'd assume most people aren't), the official TV guidelines lists TV-MA Mature Audience Only programs as "This program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children under 17. This program may contain one or more of the following: crude indecent language (L), explicit sexual activity (S), or graphic violence (V)."
