Get ready: Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 is happening, but the dates for the next big event celebrating a galaxy far, far away have just been announced — and you have two years to plan for it.
As has already been announced, Star Wars Celebration will skip 2024 entirely, instead returning on April 18 through 20, 2025 in Japan.
This will be Star Wars Celebration's return to Japan after holding the event in Tokyo in 2008.
On the one hand, that does mean that fans will have to wait a couple of years before having the chance to fully appreciate the overwhelming joy that comes from being surrounded by people who love exactly the same thing as you with just as much intensity that you do (if not more), which is a bit of a bummer… but on the other, it means that the next Star Wars Celebration will be in Japan, and fans have two years to save up to make sure that they make it there.
Plus, there’s always D23 Expo in 2024 to make sure that everyone is kept up to date on the latest news. (Not to mention, you know, this very website.)
News of just who’s going to be appearing at the show and any further details about Star Wars Celebration 2025 will likely remain under wraps until much, much closer to the event — it is, after all, two years away still — but if there’s ever a time to start dreaming, it’s right now. Expect more information about SWC 2025 (organized on behalf of Lucasfilm by Popverse’s owner, ReedPop) as soon as we get it.
