Marvel Comics' upcoming Star Wars: Mace Windu is less expensive than you thought (or Marvel planned!).

While those were some of the last words Samuel L. Jackson said as Mace Windu in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, it holds true when reporting on what Popverse just learned.

Marvel Comics has informed retailers that the upcoming Star Wars: Mace Windu solo series coming in 2024 will be cheaper than they originally announced. Originally announced at a premium $5.99, Mace Windu #1 will now be $4.99 - one dollar less than before.

And add to that, future issues of Mace Windu from Marvel will be a dollar less than that - at the company's standard pricing of $3.99.

While the company's reason for the price change isn't clear, doing it nearly two months after it announced the comic (and that $5.99 price) seems to mean there were internal talks in the weeks been its New York Comic Con announcement and now which led to the decision.

Star Wars: Mace Windu #1 (of 4) goes on sale February 7, 2024.
