The U.K.’s premiere comic book convention is coming back this year, with Thought Bubble announcing its 2024 dates.

Once again returning to the Harrogate Convention Center in Harrogate, North Yorkshire — the show’s home for the past five years — this year’s convention will take place November 16 and 17. Guests for the 2024 show haven’t been announced this far out, but 2023’s convention included ND Stevenson, Jason Aaron, Kieron Gillen, Jock, the 2000 AD crew, and many other stars of the international comics scene. More than 450 creators from small press to Big Two are expected to appear at the 2024 event, with programming once again running across the Saturday and Sunday of the event. (Not to mention the week-long festival in the surrounding area ahead of the show itself; the festival starts November 11, according to organizers.)

The date announcement was accompanied by the release of the first key art for this year's convention, by Rocío Arreola Mendoza:

Popverse was at last year’s Thought Bubble, an experience that led us to call it “the most important comic convention around”. (There’s also a more scattered, personal travelogue of the experience here.) Thought Bubble is genuinely a comics show unlike almost any other in its focus to all things comics, and for any fan of the medium, it should be a bucket list destination at least once. Who knows? Maybe this is your year to make it happen.

You can find out more about Thought Bubble at its official website right here, or stay tuned to Popverse; we'll be keeping up with the whole thing as more news is announced.

At last year's Thought Bubble, we liveblogged Jason Aaron's spotlight panel and the 2000 AD panel, amongst many other things.
