That Blink-182 guy Mark Hoppus has written a song about Iron Man, Ironheart & Amadeus Cho
Blink-182's Mark Hoppus has written and recorded the theme song for the new Disney Jr. show Iron Man and His Awesome Friends

In this week's edition of Things I Was Never Expecting To Happen, Mark Hoppus, the bassist from Blink-182, has written and recorded the theme song from the new preschool Disney Jr. show, Iron Man And His Awesome Friends. The show, which also features Ironheart and Amadeus Cho, and the theme song's title, "Totally Awesome," feels especially apt for the latter.
The song stays true to Hoppus's upbeat pop-punk roots, though I'll admit that I had trouble listening for the more subtle nuances of the song (to sound incredibly pretentious) because the sound effects from the animation were mixed rather loud. But you know what? This is a show intended for preschoolers, almost all of whom have better hearing than I do. So I will leave it to them to experience the full wonders of what Hoppus has created. You can check out the song below.
Marvel's Iron Man and His Awesome Friends is billed as the "first Iron Man preschool series," and will drop on August 11 on Disney Jr, at 8:30 AM ET/PT to be exact. It will also premiere later that day on Disney Channel. The next day, all ten episodes of the show will be hitting Disney+. Gotta love some corporate synergy there.
It's good to see that preschoolers and beyond will soon know who Amadeus Cho is. While the former Totally Awesome Hulk of Marvel Comics doesn't appear to be representing his better, greener half here, he does suit up as Iron-Hulk. Now, when do the youngins (or the rest of us Olds) get an animated show featuring Luke Cage and Iron Fists Danny Rand and Lin Lie?
