Devil May Cry Season 2 release date: When the anime series returns to Netflix

The new season will see Dante the demon hunter in conflict with Vergil, his twin brother

The sophomore season of the hit Netflix video game adaptation anime Devil May Cry is heading to streaming before you know it. Based on the game of the same name from Capcom, Devil May Cry Season 2 follows Dante the demon hunter (Johnny Yong Bosch) in conflict with his twin brother, Vergil (Robbie Daymond). So, when will the release date for Devil May Cry Season 2 on Netflix arrive?

The Devil May Cry Season 2 release date is May 12th, 2026 on Netflix. It has been only about a year since the show's first season debuted for streaming on Netflix, on April 3rd, 2025. It is currently unclear whether Devil May Cry Season 2 will be released all at once, as the first season was, or if it will be released on a weekly basis or another schedule altogether. But you'll naturally want to keep track of all of the upcoming small-screen release dates on the horizon. Here's a sneak peek for Devil May Cry Season 2, showing Dante acquiring Ebony and Ivory:

Devil May Cry is the story of Dante, a laid-back demon hunter who must stop the White Rabbit (Hoon Lee), a demonic terrorist who aims to avenge himself upon the human race (as we all do from time to time). Meanwhile, Dante must also deal with DARKCOM lieutenant Mary Ann Arkham (Scout Taylor-Compton). And that's not to mention the conflict with his twin brother Vergil. Adi Shankar created the series.

The release date for Devil May Cry Season 2 on Netflix is May 12th, 2026.
