If you need another dose of the medical drama Doc, then we have a positive prognosis for you. Season 2 of the series will be arriving on Fox before you can refill your prescription. This season of Doc will see some significant changes to the cast, including the addition of Felicity Huffman as a series regular. So when can you expect to watch the Doc Season 2 premiere for yourself?

The Doc Season 2 release date is Tuesday, September 23, at 9/8c p.m. on Fox. The series originally debuted on January 7, 2025, and it’s been about half a year since the previous season of Doc concluded on March 18, 2025. While the first season comprised ten episodes, it’s not currently clear how many episodes will be included in Doc Season 2. And you don’t need me to tell you that this is just one of the exciting TV release dates you have to anticipate this fall. Here’s the trailer for Doc season 2:

Doc stars Molly Parker as Amy Larsen, an internal medicine physician who, in the show’s first episode, is involved in a car accident that leaves her without memories of the last eight years of her life. The series also features Omar Metwally as Michael Hamda, her ex-husband and the Chief Medical Officer. Jon Ecker plays chief resident Jake Heller and Amirah Vann plays neuropsychiatrist Gina Walker. Rounding out the first season’s cast is Anya Banerjee as third-year resident Sonya Maitra. Meanwhile, the second season will see Felicity Huffman joining the main cast as Joan Ridley. Also bumped up to main cast member status for Season 2 after playing recurring characters in Season 1 are Patrick Walker as Theodore “TJ” Coleman and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim as Katie Hamda.

Doc Season 2 will debut on Fox on September 23 at 9/8c.
