Both of Dragon Ball Z's Piccolo voice actors — Toshio Furukawa and Christopher Sabat — are coming to Chicago's C2E2 2026
Toshio Furukawa and Christopher Sabat have been voicing Piccolo for generations and you can meet both of them at C2E2 this year.

There are plenty of characters in Dragon Ball Z that have been eclipsed by the Saiyans in the plot, but one guy who has remained a prominent fighter is Piccolo. The Namekian who started as Goku’s greatest enemy and eventually became one of his most stalwart allies is one of the most popular characters in DBZ, and fans at C2E2 this year will get the chance to meet not one but two Piccolo voice actors on the show floor. Both Christopher Sabat and Toshio Furukawa, two people who have been voicing Piccolo for years, will be at C2E2 to sign your merch.
Toshio Furukawa first began voicing Piccolo when the character was introduced in Dragon Ball and has remained the iconic Japanese voice of the character ever since. Christopher Sabat began voicing Piccolo years later when Funimation began creating their own in-house dub of Dragon Ball Z and has remained the most consistent English-language voice of the character (as well as several other Dragon Ball Z characters).
Both actors will be visiting C2E2, making this one of the few times that you can pick up a signature for two of the longest-serving Piccolo voice actors. Furukawa has already confirmed that he’ll be signing items for fans at booth 207 on March 28-29, though he has warned that he won’t sign anything other than officially licensed items. Also, he won’t sign any One Piece merchandise (Furukawa played Ace in One Piece). Meanwhile. Christopher Sabat will be attending March 27-29, so he should be slightly easier to find. Sabat, who has played Zoro in the English dub, appears to be more open to signing One Piece merchandise.
The big question we’ve got is whether there will be a panel featuring these two iconic voice actors. We’re sure they have some fantastic stories from the booth and shared experiences playing Piccolo over the years. The most recent film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero gave our favorite big green fighter some much-deserved time in the spotlight, so hopefully Furukawa and Sabat can find the time to talk to fans about their time as Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z.
